For over 20 years, Arte y Esperanza has been promoting the cause for Argentina´s indigenous communities, in colleges and universities, with the intent of raising awareness of the historical and contemporary issues affecting Argentina's Original Peoples, seeking to strengthen the idea of Argentina as a multiethnic and multicultural country.

Workshops
The workshops focus on the subject of Aboriginal Peoples in Argentina, the main objective being to assist in the process of raising awareness amongst students and teachers in regard to the values of indigenous cultures and the rights of indigenous peoples. Each workshop is adapted to the appropriate level, with dynamic use of props and resources, including the display of indigenous art from around the country, leaflets, photos, videos, maps, etc. Some workshops are given by representatives of the different ethnicities, Mbya Guaraní, Mapuche, and Qom (Toba), who are able to enrich a meeting from their own cultural perspective.

For a practical way to help our brothers, we offer with each workshop the possibility of a craft fair, with products made by different Pueblos, demonstrating the idea of Fair Trade.

To complement the workshops, it is possible to consult a comprehensive library. The purpose of this is to enable students, teachers, and the general public to access materials on the Original Peoples, their cultures, stories, crafts, designs, and current affairs. The library is
located in our San Isidro store.
